Germany shooting: Guy murdered at The Theater in Viernheim after opening fire.
A masked and armed guy was shot dead by proper German authorities on Thursday afternoon after storming a theater complex in Viernheim in the Hesse area.
The gunman had taken. Several persons inside the theater were apparently injured when authorities deployed CS gas.
The film was showing the humor Central Intelligence, Alice in the Wonderland and The Jungle Book. According to several reports in German media, the guy was hidden with a munition belt, with a balaclava and taking combat boots and a “long weapon”.
Witnesses said four shots were fired by the man as he entered the theater.
Peter Beuth, the interior minister of the state of Hesse, said special police forces killed and had fought ” the gunman. He cannot confirm whether the guy was carrying a dummy weapon or alive. The tabloid newspaper Bild reported that authorities had discovered an explosives belt and a hand grenade alongside the man’s body but cannot verify whether they were real or fake.
Among the hostages, identified by Bild as 16-year old Almir Almilovic, was quoted as saying us surprised.
German cops’ particular response unit closed off a location around the theater complex soon after the beginning of the event. Authorities representative Bernd Hochstädter said the authorities deployment lasted around three hours.
By the press agency DPA, officials consider the gunman to have been a “lost person” rather than the usual terrorist.

Events of firearm offense, including using weapons to threaten individuals, have dropped by nearly a quarter since 2010, a tendency that many pros put down to changes to German firearm law in the aftermath of a chain of high-profile shootings, such as the killing of 15 individuals at a school in Winnenden near Stuttgart in March 2009.
